Financial Account, Mandarin Speaker

Our client, an International Asian bank, is currently searching for a Mandarin speaking Financial Accountant to work in their London office:-

 

Purpose of Job

The Financial Accountant is responsible to support the Senior Finance Manager with financial accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting and taxation for London Branch.

Key result areas

Branch performance against Head Office objectives and KPI metrics relating to Finance Department.

Branch Performance against Internal & External Audits relating to Finance Department.

Branch adherence with Regulatory requirements related to Finance Department.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Main Responsibilities:

Internal expenses management and review;

Internal accounts (Fixed assets, prepayment and accruals, receivables and payables, etc) management and review;

Nostros accounts reconciliations;

Monthly/Quarterly/Annual financial reports preparation;

General ledger maintenance and review;

Regulatory reporting to BOE, PRA and FCA on regular basis;

Taxation returns preparation, including VAT and Corporation Tax;

Assist in Regulatory reporting to CBRC;

Assist in Regular reports to Head Office relevant departments;

Major systems implementation, testing and maintenance;

Major system parameters maintenance and enhancement;

System and project development;

Liaising with internal/external audit;

Assist in branch budget management;

Assist in project and policy review;

Ad hoc requirements/projects;

The role may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the bank's business/operation.

 

 

Qualifications and Specifications

Degree holder, minimum

Part Qualified / Qualified accountant

Minimum 3 years working experience in UK Banking industry, Finance department, preferably a smaller foreign bank

Demonstrable relevant experience

Attention to details, willing to work in a fast paced small finance team with a positive attitude
