Digital Services Compliance Manager

Based in London - Salary Negotiable

Role Overview & Objectives:

To work with the Bank’s digital services business line stakeholders to develop and maintain the compliance advisory and monitoring framework.

 

To develop and maintain related policies and procedures including holding a close relationship with all colleagues responsible for Financial Crime and Data Protection SAR processes and returns.

 

To be the first point of contact for the Digital Services business line working in collaborations with other members of the Compliance team to provide Legal, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Horizon Scanning, Operational Risk, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty advice.

 

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relevant to the Digital Services business lines

 

Key Accountabilities: 

The role incumbent is expected to be a subject matter expert on digital services compliance risk within the Compliance Department of the Bank. The incumbent will focus on all matters relating to FCA BCOBs or associated retail customer compliance rules.

 

Core Duties: 

Maintaining the Digital Services readiness compliance risk map of the bank that includes monitoring the customer journey through financial promotions, product governance and conduct of business rules.

 

Periodically review the effectiveness of the readiness compliance risk map and report to the stakeholders via the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP).

 

Assist in the articulation of online and digital services risk appetite and the rating levels of the risks.

 

Periodically review the existing digital business risk metrics and update.

 

Via compliance monitoring ensure all controls relating to digital compliance risk are periodically reviewed and enhancements identified.

 

Ensure all related policies and procedures are periodically reviewed and appropriately updated.

 

Facilitate/support discussions/work streams on digital business risk themes.

 

Sustain the understanding of digital services risk by delivery of bank-wide compliance training as necessary:

 

Work with stakeholders to identify and deliver additional training requirements.

 

Liaise and support key stakeholders to define and develop the Compliance Monitoring Programme.

 

Carry out the allocated digital services compliance monitoring and report to the stakeholders.

 

In order to ensure a good service to the digital business line, work closely with the Chief Digital Officer.

 

In order to ensure a good service to the digital business line, work closely with SME colleagues so that Legal, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Operational Risk, Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty requirements are met.

 

Assist the Chief Compliance Officer/MLRO and the team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate governance responsibilities of the firm’s operations in the UK.

 

Manage compliance risk, governance and foster appropriate corporate culture in the relevant areas of responsibility.

 

To assist in the annual review of product risk assessments and FCA Heat Map.

 

Produce digital services related MI for management/RCC/Board.

 

Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer/MLRO in managing the compliance function.

 

Any other tasks entrusted by the Chief Compliance Officer/MLRO.

Skills & Knowledge: 

At least 5 years of solid experience of working in digital services compliance risk related areas within a bank or FinTech.

 

Sound knowledge of conduct of business regulations and regulatory compliance (e.g., FCA/PRA Handbooks) with focus on retail banking

 

Knowledge and understanding of banking and treasury products including trade finance.

 

Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

 

A self-starter motivated to be able to work in anticipation (always one step ahead), organized yet flexible manner to progress a variety of tasks simultaneously.

 

Exposure to international/cross border banking, particularly in high-risk jurisdiction will be an advantage.

 

Diligent, professional, conscientious and business orientated.

 

Good interpersonal and communication skills on top of a resilient and flexible personality.

 

A relevant qualification will also be an added advantage
