Deputy Head of IT Projects - London

Main purpose of the Role:

  • Support Head of IT formalising IT strategy for the Bank and implementing it;
  • Monitoring of ongoing IT operations throughout the Bank and ensuring smooth functioning;
  • Manage the delivery of a number of ongoing IT projects;
  • Implement the roadmap and lead the delivery of digital projects;
  • Translate challenges and opportunities into excellent digital solutions;
  • Actively participate in meetings as a member of Project delivery team;
  • Work closely with sponsors of the project;
  • Manage the project timelines and provide status to senior stakeholders;


Key accountabilities:

  • Own the project implementation/delivery
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with internal stakeholders
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Develop testing plans and ensure the owners have tested and signed-off before go-live
  • Reviewing/updating existing IT policies and procedures

Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge – Required/Preferred

  • 10+ years of technical experience managing IT/Digital projects
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders including senior management
  • In-depth knowledge of Core Banking Solution – Finacle
  • Experience in Finacle version upgradation/migration
  • Office 365 (Ms office, exchange online, AZURE)
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2018 Installation and Configuration DCPROMO (Promoting to Active directory Server)
  • Installation of Routers and Switches (Managed and Unmanaged)
  • Firewall Sonic wall, Cisco ASA, Rules and Traffic monitoring.
  • Active Directory data base file NTDIS.DIT maintenance/FSMO roles and Group policy.
  • AD plus report analysis.
  • SQL and Oracle Server and client Installation and troubleshooting.
