Our Client, a mid sized European Bank, is currently searching for a Credit Operations Officer to join them in London. Details of the role are below:-
The Senior Credit Operations Officer role is to ensure that day-to-day processing of credit related operational tasks are performed to
agreed service standards and in accordance with the policies and procedures prescribed.
- Processing the new loan, renewals and Over Draft facilities set up in Globus incorporating; Limit 1, Limit 2, MG/Rate, collecting
respective fees (arrangement and other), disbursement/sending and receiving payments as per instructions received from the Credit Department.
- Processing the Excess limit setting to Globus/T24 as per instructions provided by Credit Department.
- Sending relevant reminder letters to customers on credit related documentation due to be delivered to the Bank.
- Executing base rate changes on Globus as per instructions received from Treasury Department.
- Executing, credit redemption, loan interest rates in Globus as per instructions received from the Credit Department.
- Preparing and sending redemption letters and DS1 documents as well as any credit related bank statements to customers as per
instructions received from Credit Department.
- Processing Institutional Loans (Syndications/ participations and other) and setting up Bank and Country Limits in Globus as per
instructions received from Treasury Department.
- Carry out all processing and execution duties in accordance with the Bank’s policies, and Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering
regulations.
- Manage payments via SWIFT, FPS BACS and Cheques from beginning to end.
- Review and manage daily liquidity and funds, resolve items and reconciliation issues.
- Process daily Treasury Back Office transactions: book FX, MM trades.
- Deliver a high quality external and internal customer service at all times. 13. Co-ordinate available resources and monitor workflow to
ensure that the daily workload is consistently completed in line with agreed service standards, policies and procedures and within given timescales.
- Recommend and implement changes to the way in which the team operates to improve service quality, and process efficiency,
supporting line management in centrally driven changes when required
- Deputise for the Manager when necessary.
- Liaise with clearing banks over resolution.
- As Deputy MLO, to monitor, report and file note suspicious transactions to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in absence of
Assistant Manager.
- Check to ensure that the work carried out by the team(s) adheres to all specified bank procedures, standards and relevant external
requirements, including the Bank’s Procedures Manual as well as Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
Skills:
GCSE level or equivalent degree in English and Maths is required. Willing to further education in banking.
Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment
Experience of successful team working and team management
A good understanding of the bank’s products, services and processes and of the customer relationship.
Computer literate
Articulate and verbally fluent, easy to understand.
A responsible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
A demonstrable ability to work carefully and accurately at all times.
Numerate
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure to a high standard
